Donald Trump is now reported to be coming to Britian in July – and we are going to organise a massive national demonstration against his politics of racism, war, sexism and hate. This could be a march of millions. 4% of the population – or around 2 million people have said that they would “definitely” take part in protests against the visit. In Dundee we are holding a local protest on Friday 13th at 5pm. This demonstration isn’t just about Trump. The treatment of the Windrush generation has highlighted the British elite’s disgraceful record of racism and bigotry. This is a fight against our own “hostile environment” as well as the American government. The Stop Trump Coalition is a network of grassroots campaigns, unions, NGOs and politicians initiated by journalist Owen Jones in February 2017. Stand Up to Trump includes a range of campaigns against war, austerity and racism, as well as public figures who have pledged to mobilise against a Trump visit. Both organisations have come together for a one-off national demonstration under the banner of Together Against Trump. A mobilising network for the demonstration – with local contact points in every part of the country – will spring into action as soon as a date is announced, organising local actions and coaches to London. Donald Trump will be making his visit to Britain on July 13th, 2018. As many Britons, expats and others will make it known that he and his hatred is unwelcome in Great Britain. Thousands upon thousands are expected to take to the streets of London that day to send the unequivocal message that Britain will not tolerate his hate filled rhetoric and dangerous policy. Grassroots organisations, societies and collaborations across Scotland have come together to protest against the Trump administration’s horrific actions against immigrant children and families. On the 13th July, Trump is set to make a visit to the UK. We cannot allow this visit to be made without a degree of opposition. We encourage as many students as possible to participate. “Between October 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018, at least 2,700 children have been split from their parents. 1,995 of them were separated over the last six weeks of that window – April 18 to May 31 – indicating that at present, an average of 45 children are being taken from their parents each day” Dara Lind, Vox article, 15/06/2018 The separation of children from their parents by the Trump administration is only the latest and most obvious of examples of creeping fascism happening on a grand scale in the United States. We, as internationalists, stand shoulder to shoulder with these separated families. BRIDPORT IS REPRESENTING AT THE NATIONAL ANTI TRUMP PROTEST IN LONDON ON FRIDAY 13th JULY … We’ve organised a minibus to join the ‘Festival of Love’ protesting Trump’s visit to England, our government’s friendship with him and everything he stands for. It’s looking to be a historic event. Our one rule is that we go to this protest peacefully, aside from that all points of view and political persuasions are welcome. That said, pro-trump people will not be guaranteed a space on the bus. We’ll be leaving at about 7am and returning in the evening, timings to be confirmed. Stay tuned also for protest prep information including general safety advice for the novice activist, music and sound making ideas and general logistical stuff. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a protest placard making session later on in the week, where we’ll whip up some jaw dropping activist material, plan a minibus playlist and generally hype ourselves up. SEATS COST £16 This covers vehicle rental, petrol, parking and a fee for the driver. Currently there are 17 seats available, message us for bank details. The first 17 to pay Megan will be guaranteed a place. If numbers keep increasing beyond 17 we’ll go ahead and hire another vehicle, nothing can stop us. Seats are non refundable. If you cannot make it on the day you can find someone else for your seat but we won’t be able to return the cost. Donald Trump is coming to Britain on Friday 13 July and his visit will be met by mass protests. He is fast becoming the world’s #1 racist and is inspiring far-right forces here in Britain. Donald Trump is visiting Britain on July 13th. Bristol will be protesting alongside other cities on the eve of his visit at 5pm by the Fountains (opposite the Hippodrome) on Thursday July 12th. We want volunteers to steward the protest and we want to make placards to show our distaste at his racist, misogynist and climate change denial policies. Despite mass opposition to Trump’s politics of racism, Islamophobia and antisemitism, sexism, war, bigotry and climate change denial, he is being welcomed to the UK by Prime Minister Theresa May on July 13th. We intend to protest his reception by Theresa May at Chequers before going on to the national demonstration. Provisional plan is to get to Chequers for 10 am, protest and then make it to the protest inLondon by 2pm. Trump’s election as US President has given confidence to racists, sexists and bigots around the world. His rhetoric against Korea, Iran and Russia, and his moving of the US Embassy to Jerusalem has stoked up the threat of war, including nuclear war, in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Climate change is an increasing threat to the whole of humanity, yet Trump has set back meaningful action to limit the threat of abrupt climate change. Trump represents a super rich elite that puts profit before people, who want to shape the world to enrich themselves further no matter what the cost to humanity and the planet. By inviting Trump to visit Theresa May is endorsing Trump’s politics. This should come as no surprise. May has consistently supported austerity Trump’s drive to war, and her government has been exposed as deeply racist. Mass protests on July 13 will send a clear message to Trump and May that we are prepared to fight for equal rights for all oppressed groups, for peace, economic justice and environmental sustainability.

July 13th, 2018 – I will be turning 23, will anyone care?… This year on Friday the 13th, Donald Trump will be making his first official state visit to the UK as the 45th President of the United States. I for one, am done with conservative politics upstaging the day of my birth. So please join me in protesting the arrival of the racist, sexist, transphobic and homophobic “leader of the free world” in the UK. Let’s show him a Friday the 13th he won’t forget. On July 7th Milton Keynes Unite Community, Stand Up to Racism Milton Keynes are coming together to protest the visit on 13th July of Donald Trump. We will be outside The Point in the city centre to send a very clear and loud message to Donald Trumop that he is not welcome here.
