When Sam Harris Fans Attack—or Do They? Nice Mangos Speaks

NOTE: This is my summary of Kevin Logan’s podcast featuring guest Nice Mangos–these are NOT my opinions.

Blogger and podcast host Nice Mangos appeared on a podcast today run by Kevin Logan to discuss, according to Logan’s episode description, the following: “The ‘intellectual dark web’ is a hive of scum and villainy, and they show themselves as such when facing any kind of criticism. Their vicious attacks on Eiynah Nicemangos (of the polite conversations podcast), when Harris retweeted a hit piece against her, were truly disgusting.”

Nice Mangos introduces herself as a Pakistani Canadian blogger and podcaster. She is an ex-Muslim and refers to growing up in Saudi Arabia. She is a former fan of Sam Harris but now says she no longer respects him intellectually and plans to spend the rest of her days criticizing Harris, his cult, the “bullshit” IDW and their cultists, in that order.

It is worth noting that while Nice Mangos apparently suffered from terrible dog piling by this Harris cult, the evidence seemed to be scarce. She claimed there were some private messages and some isolated tweets we probably missed but we should trust her that it was just an awful barrage and that the dogs in the pile were rabid. Logan did share a screenshot of one tweet by someone named Wayne Spencer but it didn’t directly apply to anything to do with Harris or the IDW.

So, for the rest of the time the two made pretty sweeping judgments condemning—well—a tremendous amount of folks—some by name, some by “they.” I’ll just give you a sampling and save your some time:

Damo (@concretemilk) who wrote a blog post that set off Nice Mangos

Doubling Down

is a mere troll. His blog post is old. Harris should never had shared it. It was a hit piece.

Sam’s cultists are like Trump supporters and if you made a Venn diagram of the two groups you would have a circle.

Why do “they” support causes like Lindsay Shepherd when we need to be worried about bigger things like Trump?

Sam Harris supports Rubin Report and Quillete so that makes him hypocritical, more or less. (Apparently they gleaned this from Patreon.)

The IDW is a dumb name and the pictures in the New York Times of the “dark” were so ironic as they are not dark themselves. Also, they looked like they were jerking off trees in the photos. (That little gem was courtesy of Kevin Logan)

The IDW is basically a poor example of humanism and they are not rational or skeptical at all. In fact, the IDW has such a veneer of credibility that it attracts mere pseudo-intellectuals rather than true intellectuals and they really don’t have the capacity to understand what it is they’re getting themselves into because—well, they’re kind of dumb.

Stephen Knight is a big “fuck you” from Kevin because Knight dared to suggest the “hit piece” by the “troll” Damo was balanced and fair.

Sam is trying to restart the debate about scientific racism which will thrill his cultists because they’re all pro-racism and want to maintain the status quo.

Sam only “censored” Christian Picciolini to protect his patron revenue because they’ll stop contributing to him if he speaks too harshly against the right, the alt-light, or the alt-right. The Sam cult likes racism more than anti-racism. Sam is gaslighting us and he’s dishonest through and through.

Oh, and he was mean to Ezra Klein when he shared private emails.

Gad Saad is a fascinating liar who runs around with anti-semites.

Jordan Peterson and Gad Saad were on the stage with Faith Goldy and she doesn’t deserve a platform because she pals around with Nazis. Jordan Peterson is a symptom of the poison at the root of atheism (I don’t even think Peterson is an atheist?).

There’s no happy and cheerful ending to this discussion. It starts on a negative note and ends on a negative note.

Nice Mangos did just upload a new episode (she now has 50). In that podcast, she and her patrons just kick around Harris, the IDW and then throw in Alex Jones to round it off.
