Pussy Scouts: Stern Consumer Warning; Content Warning as Well

Brace yourself:

So…

Besides the fact that the sight of children dressed as scouts using profanity is distasteful, this company has a long history of CONSUMER AND SCAM WARNINGS. Note that the domain name shifts over the years. Also, many other consumer review sites issue similar warnings. The claim of raising money for equality causes is not addressed in the BBB reviews below.

Here’s how pussyscouts.com describe themselves:

PussyScouts.com is produced by FCKH8.com, a T-shirt company on a mission to inspire social change. Since 2010, the company has raised over $280,000 for equality causes, arming thousands of people with pro-LGBT equality, anti-racism and anti-sexism T-shirts that act as “mini-billboards” for progress. They have over 420,000 followers on Facebook and 44,000 on Twitter and have shipped more than 200,000 tees, tanks and hoodies to equality supporters in 100 countries.

Many celebrities have praised the activist brand including Jane Lynch, Adam Lambert, Perez Hilton, and Zac Efron – who raved about his “Some Dudes Marry Dudes, Get Over It” shirt. Whoopi Goldberg and Rachel Ray raised their voices in support of the “Potty-Mouth Princesses” campaign.

PATTERN OF COMPLAINT

This company has a pattern of customer complaints alleging merchandise ordered and paid for is not received.

On August 8th and August 26th, 2013, BBB emailed Good Ideas for Good Causes requesting their voluntary cooperation in resolving complaints on file with BBB and providing steps it will implement to eliminate the underlying cause of the pattern of customer complaints.

On August 30, 2013, Luke Montgomery reached out to BBB. he indicated he was aware of the customer service issues and was working towards a resolution. He indicated he had hired an individual specifically to handle customer complaints and logistics. He agreed to respond to all of the unanswered, unresolved and pending complaints on file with BBB. He said he was contracting for assistance with printing.

BBB received responses to many previously unanswered complaints which were then re-closed as assumed resolved. However, since September 1, 2013, the vast majority of complaints have gone unanswered. On June 20, 2014 BBB wrote the business again seeking their assistance in resolving these issues.
